Our Mission & Vision

About RAASTA

Empowering individuals with free, accessible, and evidence-based mental health insights.

What is RAASTA?

RAASTA (meaning "Path" or "Way") is an accessible online mental health screening platform designed to guide individuals through the essential first step of understanding their mental well-being.

Each screening takes approximately 2 minutes to complete, requires no account creation, and delivers immediate, clear guidance backed by verified mental health resources in Pakistan.

Screening vs. Clinical Diagnosis

RAASTA is a screening and awareness tool, not a diagnostic platform.

The questionnaires featured (PHQ-9, GAD-7, MDQ, AQ-10, SCOFF, and Adult Dyslexia Checklist) are globally recognized, evidence-based clinical screening instruments. They serve to highlight patterns and assist users in deciding when to seek professional consultation with a qualified psychologist or psychiatrist.

Our Mission & Principles

Stigma, high costs, and lack of information prevent thousands from getting the support they deserve. RAASTA was created to dismantle these obstacles through four foundational commitments:

100% Free Accessibility

High-quality screening accessible to everyone without cost barriers.

Strict Privacy Protection

No login credentials, no tracking cookies, and no personal data stored.

Early Awareness

Empowering people to recognize distress early and seek timely support.

Community Support

Connecting users with certified national emergency hotlines and services.

Academic Affiliation & Background

RAASTA was conceptualized and developed by dedicated students in association with Karachi University and the Karachi University Psychological Counselling Centre (KUCCC).

By translating validated psychological assessments into a modern, responsive digital experience, the team seeks to make mental health awareness universally approachable across Pakistan and beyond.
